I have now updated all of my WordPress sites to 3.5.2 – all wordpress updates went smoothly. I highly recommend you update wordpress to 3.5.2 immediately

Another WordPress update is out. Now we’re up to WP 3.5.2. Twelve bugs got fixed and seven security issues were resolved. HOWEVER, I would hold off a few more days before updating to this new version of wordpress.

The reason? In the past there have been a few releases which ended up causing more problems than they fixed or were incompatible with some of the more popular plugins. Its always best to wait a week or so to find out whether other people’s installation of the WP update went smoothly, or if they had problems updating wordpress. AND it’s always nice to let the WP plugin developers have a minute to update their plugins if there are compatibility issues with the latest WP release.

That said, as soon as it’s clear that this is a stable wordpress update, you should immediately install it. Anytime there are known security vulnerabilities in a version of WordPress, not updating leaves your site vulnerable to hackers. As always, before updating you must backup your database!

You can either download the wordpress update and install it, or save yourself some time by doing the automatic update in your wordpress dashboard (Go to Dashboard | Updates in the admin area).

I’ll let you guys know how it goes when I do my wordpress updates to all of my sites in a few days.
