Yes, it’s so disappointing that the original WP 2.0 Theme competition turned out to be a scam. And also bizarre!

I, too, hope that the wordpress community will embrace the new competition, and have just written a post asking people step up and be sponsors and donate some more prizes for the designers who put so much effort into their themes.

Nice work on your themes, btw – I’m in the process of adding them to my theme list. Are they 2.0 specific, or do they also work in 1.5?

I just hope that people who are WP lovers will support the new group that is trying to piece things together for the competition at www.wordpressarena.com. Hey Emily,
