How do I know what WP version I have?
Hi Herman -
Simply log into your WordPress install and scroll down to the very bottom of the page. It will tell you not only what version of WordPress you are using, but also the time it took for the page to load (usually a fraction of a second)
Hope that helps!
I just installed the WordPress 2.0.2 security on my WordPress blog and it went smoothly. I am a recent user of the self hosted WordPress and had not made any customizations or activated any plugins so it was a very simple process. I backed up my database and WP-Config.php file, but never had to use them.
This is my second experience, I use Nvu for as my html editor, with open source software and so far I am real impressed with the quality of the software and the people involved in the open source movement.
I use Dream Host, which has auto install. About to try the upgrade on my test blog.
